Michael Johnson
Licensed Private Investigator

Academic Director

Mr. Johnson has over twenty-five (25) years law enforcement and investigative experience. He has worked for the Santa Clara County (CA) Sheriff’s Dept., Grass Valley (CA) Police Dept., Shasta County (CA) Medical Examiner’s Office, Nevada County (CA) Grand Jury, Pyramid Lake (NV) Police Dept., U.S. Dept. of the Interior (Bureau of Indian Affairs), U.S. Dept. of Justice (Marshal’s Service) and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

He has extensive training in a wide variety of investigative topics and techniques and is P.O.S.T. certified in California and Nevada. Appointed by the Governor to the Nevada Commission on School Safety as the Vice Chairman and is an adjunct faculty of Truckee Meadows Community College where he teaches criminal justice related courses.

Currently he runs his own private investigation agency working on background investigations, due diligence, criminal defense, accident investigation and reconstruction, surveillance, executive security, threat assessments, work place violence, internal theft, and undercover operations.

     
 

Jeff Obst
Business Consultant

School Director

Mr. Obst has eight (8) years of investigative and law enforcement experience. He has worked for the District Attorney’s Offices in two different states. He also ran his own private detective agency and was a licensed private detective.

He has extensive criminal justice and legal training and has taught computer and business classes for investigators and paralegals, helping many people enhance their careers. Mr. Obst is a published author and has written guides to starting a business as well as technology related articles.

Currently he is also a business consultant helping businesses utilize technology, assists people with their career choices, and acts as a moderator for information technology panels in different industries.
